Ohio State basketball opponents and locations announced for 2023-2024 season

We now know which Big Ten teams Ohio State will play twice, and which it will play just once this season. #GoBucks

We’ve kind of been focused on dissecting what we saw during the Ohio State spring and also looking ahead to Buckeyes in the 2023 NFL draft coming this weekend, but we received some basketball news today.

The Big Ten conference dropped information on scheduling Tuesday. It wasn’t a complete and solid schedule of sorts, but instead, a release of which teams will play each other home-and-away, and what teams will play each other just once at which venue.

And in the case of Ohio State, we can tell you that the Buckeyes are set to play Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers, and Wisconsin each twice at home and on the road. That leaves the remaining six teams just once during this winter’s Big Ten slate.

So which teams will come to the Schott and who will OSU visit on the road only? The Buckeyes will host Illinois, Maryland, and Purdue in Value City Arena only, and will travel to play Iowa, Michigan State, and Northwestern without any return trip to Columbus.

Ohio State is looking to keep the momentum going from what we saw during a postseason run in the Big Ten Tournament, one that at least washed away a pretty bitter taste of a very disappointing season. As the schedule continues to materialize, and when definitive times are announced, we will bring those to you.
