The Ohio State men’s tennis team already secured at least a share of the Big Ten title earlier this weekend but decided to be selfish and take the title all by itself on Sunday, beating Indiana to polish off an undefeated conference slate. It is the program’s 20th title and 17th straight overall.
OSU once again got off on the right foot by taking care of business in doubles to go up 1-0 by securing the doubles point. Andrew Lutschaunig and James Trotter finished first with a win, downing IUs Patrick Fletchall and Ilya Tiraspolsky 6-0 in just 14 minutes. OSU’s Robert Cash and Justin Boulais started with a 5-0 lead over Sam Landau and Luc Boulier, then finished things off on serve 6-2 to secure doubles in its favor.
The singles matches went even better. In fact, all games were allowed to conclude with the Buckeyes sweeping all six contests. Ohio State won the first set in each and every match and went on to win in straight sets across the board to cap off a 7-0 victory.

OSU will now look toward the Big Ten tournament where it will be the No. 1 seed. Ohio State will begin play in the quarterfinals at 9 a.m. ET vs. the winner of the match between Penn State and Indiana.
