The Ohio State men’s volleyball team is playing at its very best at just the right time. The Buckeyes went on a late-season surge and ended up finished with a share of the MIVA conference regular season title with Ball State and Loyola-Chicago. The effort resulted in the Buckeyes claiming the No. 3 seed in the MIVA Conference Tournament.
And hey, while they were at it, the Buckeyes went ahead and decided to double down and make a run through the tournament, finishing it off with a win a straight-set, dominating win over No. 1 Ball State on Saturday, 27-25, 25-17, and 25-19.
It was the eleventh consecutive win by the team and was even more impressive by doing it on the home court of the Cardinals to take the title. It’s the program’s first tournament title since 2018 and the 18th MIVA tournament title overall.
