2024 prospect Kelvin Searcy II is scheduled to visit Rutgers football over the weekend. Searcy visited the Piscataway campus in this past November.
Searcy is a 6-foot-8, 300-pound offensive tackle.
The Georgia native out of Skipstone Academy has received interest from three universities, Alabama, Kennesaw State, and Rutgers. Searcy helped lead the Warriors to an 11-1 record in 2022. Searcy visited all three schools, with Rutgers being his only scheduled second visit. Last week, Searcy competed in the Rivals Camp in Atlanta with many of the top 2024 recruits from the region.

Skillset
Searcy has raw talent that can turn into a dominant offensive lineman. He has solid footwork when down-blocking and can move defenders off the ball. He offers excellent communication skills when working with his teammates on double teams. Searcy has a big frame and can reach outside defenders during zone run schemes.

The 2024 prospect will need to work on consistency with his pad level. At times, the offensive tackle tends to rely on his size to push defenders off the ball. Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano and his coaching staff will welcome the 2024 prospect this weekend as the Scarlet Knights continue to work on recruiting the powerful offensive tackle.
