Carolina Panthers GM doesn’t know why Bryce Young canceled pre-draft visits

Carolina Panthers GM makes it clear they haven’t told Bryce Young whether or not they are drafting him.

Bryce Young is projected by many to be the first overall selection in the 2023 NFL draft. Former Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud has also received a few projections to be drafted at No. 1. The Carolina Panthers have a big decision to make, but it appears as if it has not been made yet.

Recently, it was reported that Young would be canceling all future pre-draft visits. He had only met with the Panthers and the Houston Texans, who pick No. 1 and No. 2 respectively.

It was rumored he canceled any future visits because the Panthers may have told him he was their pick. Carolina’s general manager Scott Fitterer stated the franchise hasn’t told him anything and that the decision to cancel the visits were made on his own.

“That was a decision he made on his own,” Fitterer said. “I just refer you to his reps and to Bryce as to the why.”

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Young and other former Alabama players as the 2023 NFL draft approaches.
