Three former Tennessee basketball players will begin their respective playoff runs Saturday in the NBA.
In the Eastern Conference, Boston (57-25) is the No. 2 seed. The Celtics will play No. 7 Atlanta (41-41) in the first round. The series opens Saturday at 3:30 p.m. EDT and game No. 1 will be televised by ESPN.
The Celtics feature former Tennessee power forward Grant Williams and will begin defense of its Eastern Conference championship.
Philadelphia (54-28), a No. 3 in the Eastern Conference, will also open postseason play Saturday, hosting No. 6 Brooklyn (45-37). Tipoff is slated for 1 p.m. EDT and ESPN will televise the contest.
Tobias Harris and Jaden Springer are also on the 76ers’ roster.
