New Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr has some history with cornerback Marlon Humphrey when he was a member of the Cleveland Browns. Humphrey and Beckham got into a scuffle during the game, with the cornerback taking the wide receiver to the ground in a chokehold.
Beckham was asked during his introductory press conference what practice is going to be like with Humphrey after their previous incident in 2019, and gave an insightful answer. He said he might have to give Humphrey a few headbutts and hug it out, but is excited to play with him.

“I talked to him. I’m going to have to give him a few headbutts, and we’re going to have to hug it out. (laughter) Then, it’s, ‘We’re on the same team.’ Our goal – and I know that for sure – is going to be to sharpen each other each and every day. I’m excited about being able to work with somebody like that. This is one of the great corners in the league, an All-Pro, Pro Bowl corner. But definitely, we’ll get to battle it out, and talk a little to each other, and then that’s it because we’re on the same squad. I know that I’ve already communicated with him, [and] I think we’re both excited about this opportunity. At the end of the day, I don’t have beef with anybody; I don’t have any bad blood or anything like that. Life’s way too short for that. I have things going on in my life that are very important, so I think we’re both excited about it.”
No matter what, the addition of Beckham helps out the Ravens’ locker room. Beckham is going to make practice fun and with the personality of Humphrey, microphones might need to be on at all times when Beckham and Humphrey are matched up together. Either way, they are going to make each other better.
