Injury Report: Warriors’ Klay Thompson (lower back soreness) late scratch vs. Thunder

The Warriors will be without Klay Thompson on Tuesday against the Thunder.

In a pivotal matchup that will have playoff implications in the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors will be without a key starter on Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder. 

Prior to tipoff, Klay Thompson has been ruled out on Tuesday due to lower back soreness. With Thompson out, Jordan Poole will jump in the starting lineup alongside Steph Curry and Donte DiVincenzo in the backcourt against the Thunder.

Over 67 games, Thompson is averaging 21.8 points on 43.3% shooting from the field and 40.7% shooting from deep to go along with 4.2 boards and 2.4 assists. Prior to Tuesday’s game, Thompson has played 27 consecutive games. 

The Warriors will tip off against the Thunder at 7 p.m. PT on Tuesday for the final home game of the regular season at San Francisco’s Chase Center. 

After missing Tuesday’s game, Thompson will get two days off before the Warriors begin their final two-game stretch of the season. 

The Warriors will round out the regular season with a pair or road games against the Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers.
