The New York Giants have largely been on the wide receiver hunt of late, seeking weapons to help Daniel Jones down the field. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t on the lookout for other needs.
A running back isn’t exactly at the top of the list for the Giants. Saquon Barkley certainly has the job nailed down, but it would definitely be nice to have another threat in the backfield.
When Briand Daboll and Joe Schoen visited TCU, they took TCU wideout Quentin Johnston out to dinner. But Daboll was also seen speaking with running back Kendre Miller, who is recovering from a knee injury sustained during the Fiesta Bowl. He wasn’t participating in the workout due to his recovery, but that didn’t stop Daboll from chatting him up.
That conversation now sees the Giants having a top-30 visit with the Horned Frogs running back, reports Aaron Wilson.
TCU @TCUFootball standout runner Kendre Miller recovering fast from MCL sprain, has multiple NFL visits, including #Saints #Giants #Cowboys #Rams dinner meeting with #Cowboys, Pro Day meetings with #Texans #Dolphins #Jaguars #Patriots #Cardinals @KPRC2https://t.co/UcNARn4GuL

During the 2022 season, Miller rushed 224 times for 1,399 yards, an average of 6.2 yards per carry, and scored 17 touchdowns. He also caught 16 passes for 116 yards. But perhaps the most notable stat is that Miller had zero fumbles throughout his college career. That certainly bodes well for his professional future.
Daboll and Schoen are covering their bases, making sure they have the prospects they think fit with the Giants lined up and ready to go. Miller is part of the process, and even with Barkley in the starting spot, that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for someone like Miller.
