Alabama big Charles Bediako to test NBA draft waters, maintains college eligibility

Alabama center Charles Bediako made tremendous progress as a sophomore and will now test the NBA draft waters while maintaining eligibility.

Alabama Crimson Tide sophomore center Charles Bediako has announced his intentions to test the 2023 NBA draft waters while maintaining his college eligibility.

Bediako showed tremendous improvement during the 2022-23 season, and by the time the season ended, he was as dominant a post player as there was in college basketball. His play during March helped propel the Tide to an SEC Tournament championship and an appearance in the Sweet 16.

Over Alabama’s final six games, Bediako averaged 10.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks.

Bediako isn’t generating first-round buzz at this point and there is a good chance that he could return for a third season in Tuscaloosa.
