After a tremendous freshman season in Tuscaloosa, Alabama Crimson Tide forward Noah Clowney has officially declared for the 2023 NBA draft.
Clowney came to Alabama as a four-star prospect from South Carolina but his play exceeded all expectations in the 2022-23 season.
Playing as Alabama’s stretch four, Clowney averaged 9.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. Although those numbers are not highly box-score-altering, Clowney’s ability to knock down the outside shot and his defensive versatility makes him an ideal fit for any NBA franchise.
Clowney is projected to be a late first-round selection in June’s NBA draft. He made his announcement on Twitter earlier on Saturday.
