There is no position more coveted in the world of sports than a quarterback in the National Football League. A quarterback isn’t just a player who throws a football, he’s the one who is going to conduct your office on the field and represent your franchise off of it. So it is incredibly important to draft a quarterback that you can build your franchise around and trust to make good decisions.
The 2023 NFL draft class is one of the most QB-heavy classes we have seen in recent memory with a chance of four quarterback’s going in the top five picks. [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag] of the Alabama Crimson Tide has long been considered the best prospect in this class with Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud sitting just behind him.
However, DraftWire believes that Stroud is actually the most talented signal caller in this class and that Young is QB2. They go on to say that Young is a “High-end field general with impressive accuracy and athleticism, but will have to answer questions about size and strength.”
Young’s size and strength were never an issue while playing in the SEC, the most pro-ready league in the NCAA so I don’t think it will be the issue it’s been made out to be. Whoever lands Young’s services is getting a star on the field, but an even better leader off of it to represent the city.
