Roschon Johnson could make great closing duo in Cleveland with Nick Chubb

The powerful runner could help Chubb close games in the fourth quarter.

Kareem Hunt is a free agent who likely won’t return to the Cleveland Browns, leaving the team needing depth at running back. If they look for that depth in the 2023 NFL Draft Texas running back Roschon Johnson would be a great fit.

Nick Chubb is already one of the best closers in the NFL who gets better as the defense wears down. Adding a big powerful runner like Johnson would create a great closing duo to ice leads in the fourth quarter. A runner with great vision and valance Johnson shrugs off arm tackles and always gets the extra yardage.

Johnson averaged 4.28 yards after contact per attempt and 402 of his 545 rushing yards last season was after contact. With Jerome Ford’s receiving ability the Browns would have a strong running back room for 2023 if they draft Johnson.
