Kur Teng is set to make his college decision on Monday, the talented guard announcing his three finalists.
A four-star recruit, Teng will pick from a final three that includes Michigan State, Providence and Rutgers. He is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard who plays at Bradford Christian Academy (Haverford, MA). He is the No. 39 player in the nation in the 247 Sports Composite and the top-ranked player in Massachusetts.
A complete player, Teng has all the tools needed to compete right away for a starting job in big-time college basketball. He is a strong shooter with range, handles the ball well and defensively is committed on and off the ball.
Teng will make his decision official on Monday at noon via a YouTube stream:

As for Rutgers, they already have a strong recruiting 2024 recruiting class, one that is ranked top five in the nation. It began in late December when Dellquan Warren, a four-star from Pennsylvania and the No. 85 player in the nation, committed to the class. Two weeks later, Rutgers landed five-star forward Airious Bailey, the fifth-best player in the nation.

Landing Teng could well see Rutgers move up the rankings and have the top class in the nation. The Scarlet Knights class does not yet have a shooting guard.
In terms of fit, Teng would likely come to Rutgers and instantly get heavy minutes in the rotation or even as a starter. He has the chance to be an instant-impact player if not part of the starting five for head coach Steve Pikiell.

Were Teng to commit to Michigan State, he would be their first verbal in the 2024 class.
