PHOTOS: Lady Vols defeat East Tennessee State

No. 4 Tennessee (27-2, 8-1 SEC) defeated East Tennessee State (7-22), 10-2 in six innings, on Tuesday at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

The win against East Tennessee State is the Lady Vols’ fifth over an in-state opponent this season. The Lady Vols improve its record against in-state teams to 144-4 since the program’s first season in 1996.

Tennessee entered Tuesday’s game versus East Tennessee State after winning two contests in a three-game series against Alabama.

The Lady Vols are ranked No. 4 in the latest USA TODAY/NFCA Division I Coaches Poll.
