Bears agree to 3-year deal with Eagles middle linebacker T.J. Edwards

Philadelphia is set to lose T.J. Edwards, as the Eagles’ middle linebacker has agreed to a three-year deal with the Chicago Bears

T.J. Edwards is returning to Big 10 country, as the former Wisconsin Badger has agreed to a three-year deal with the Chicago Bears.

Edwards signed a one-year contract extension last season after replacing Eric Wilson and his ability to hold off 2022 third-round pick, Nakobe Dean, was supposed to dictate his future.

This season, Edwards led the Eagles in tackles and proved that he could be a three-down linebacker in the NFL.

He’ll now replace Roquan Smith at middle linebacker for a franchise on the rise.
