Breaking down where MSU could land in Big Ten Tournament seeding

Michigan State currently sits at No. 7 in the Big Ten Tournament seeding, but here’s how they can move up on the final day of the regular season

Michigan State basketball has officially finished their regular season, capping it off with a victory over Oho State on Saturday.

The Spartans’ victory over the Buckeyes improved them to 11-8 in conference play and kept them alive for potentially landing a double-bye in next week’s Big Ten Tournament. As things stand today, the Spartans are in seventh place in the league and can only rise depending on results from Sunday’s final games of the regular season.

Here’s how things break down for the Spartans and how their seeding will be decided, according to Paul Fanson of Spartans Illustrated:

So it surely seems like there’s a good chance Michigan State will be moving up from their current placement of seventh. But how far do we think? I personally see at least two of those needed results occurring and a good chance we’ll get three of the four. So that would mean I’m projecting Michigan State to land as the No. 4 seed and in fact get the double-bye.

We will find out soon enough, but Sunday should be a lot of fun for Spartans fans as they watch the rest of the league wrap up their regular seasons.
