Oregon extends offer to 2027 8th grade phenom QB Trent Seaborn

The Ducks have extended an offer to 2027 QB Trent Seaborn, an 8th grader who won a 7A high school state championship this year in Alabama.

Sometimes when you identify a future star in the making, you have to try and get in early.

That appears to be what the Oregon Ducks are doing after extending a scholarship offer to 2027 QB Trent Seaborn, a current 8th grader from the state of Alabama. Seaborn has been in the news recently after winning the steering QB job on Thompson High School’s Varsity team, and then leading said team to win the 7A State Championship.

Yes, you’re reading that correctly.

At 6-foot, 178 pounds, the 8th grader has picked up a number of offers already, including from Arizona State, Arkansas, Maryland, Nebraska, Ole Miss, and Wisconsin. He hopes to take a visit to Eugene this summer, per SB Live.

As a 2027 prospect, Seaborn does not yet have much of a recruiting profile, but it will be interesting to see how the hype around him grows as he continues to develop and blossom in his career.
