Sooners pick up another prediction to land 2024 4-Star RB Caden Durham

Oklahoma Sooners receive Rivals FutureCast from Texas Insider for 2024 4-Star running back Caden Durham.

March will be a big month on the recruiting trail for the Oklahoma Sooners. With two big weekends on the calendar, the Sooners will be bringing a host of prospects to Norman.

They’re still waiting on their first commitment in the cycle, but have several prospects that are leaning heavily in their direction.

The Oklahoma Sooners have been trending in a positive direction with 2024 four-star running back [autotag]Caden Durham[/autotag]. Back in December Sam Spiegelman of On3 issued a prediction in favor of the Sooners landing Durham. Now it’s Rivals’ Texas Insider Geoff Ketchum that believes the Sooners will land the four-star prospect.

Durham brings speed and elusiveness out of the backfield. He’s a big play threat every time he touches the football.

Oklahoma, Alabama, and LSU are the teams Durham is high on according to 247Sports. He’s the No. 22 running back in the nation, according to the 247Sports composite rankings while Rivals has him ranked No. 14 at the position.

Led by DeMarco Murray, the Oklahoma Sooners have done a fantastic job recruiting the running back position over the last few years. Oklahoma’s added four-star running backs Jovantae Barnes, Gavin Sawchuk, Daylan Smothers, and Kalib HIcks in the last two recruiting cycles. With projections favoring a commitment to Oklahoma, Durham could be the next blue chip prospect added to Murray’s stable of runners.

The Sooners are also trending in the right direction with four-star running back Jeremy Payne.

Though they haven’t received a commitment yet in the 2024 cycle, it feels like only a matter of time before the Sooners break the ice on their next recruiting class.
