There was a lot that could happen this past weekend to shuffle the order of the teams in the Big Ten men’s ice hockey tournament, but we finally know where Ohio State will slot in.
And while the Buckeyes ran into a pretty stiff challenge on the road against No. 1 Minnesota, dropping both games over the weekend, they still earned a No. 3 seed and home ice for the first round of the tournament. Minnesota grabbed the No. 1 seed and Michigan the No. 2 seed.
Ohio State will host the No. 6 seeded Penn State Nittany Lions in a three-game series that will take place Friday, March 3, through Sunday, March 5 (game 3 if necessary) at the Schottenstein Center.

If Ohio State gets through round one, it’ll then faceoff against the winner of the series between No. 2 Michigan and No. 7 Wisconsin in a single-elimination game on Saturday, March 11.
Ticket information will be released in the upcoming days according to a statement from the Ohio State Department of Athletics.
