Isiah Pacheco won the Mack Lee Hill Award signifying the impact made by the former Rutgers football standout in his first season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The award goes to the top rookie performance within the Chiefs organization (h/t Chiefs Wire). This past season, Pacheco finished the regular season and postseason with 1,027 rushing yards on 207 carries. He had six touchdowns, with one coming in the Super Bowl win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
A seventh-round pick, Pacheco is considered one of the steals from Day 3 of last April’s NFL draft. He wrestled away the starting job in Kansas City by midseason and never looked back.
The Mack Lee Hill Award is named after the former Chiefs running back who died tragically during knee surgery following a standout rookie season. The award is voted on by the players in the Chiefs’ locker room.

Not surprisingly, quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named the team’s MVP in the same voting.
