No. 11 Tennessee (20-6, 9-4 SEC) defeated No. 1 Alabama (22-4, 12-1 SEC), 68-59, Wednesday at Thompson-Boling Arena.
The contest was tied, 29-29, at halftime.
The win against Alabama ends a two-game losing streak for the Vols. Tennessee lost its two previous contests by one point on last-second shots to Missouri and Vanderbilt.
Santiago Vescovi and Zakai Zeigler scored 15 points to lead Tennessee. Jonas Aidoo recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Zeigler posted eight assists and Vescovi finished the contest with eight rebounds and one assist for Tennessee.
Uros Plavsic finished with 10 points for the Vols.
Brandon Miller led Alabama with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
