The top-spending schools in recruiting lead Friday night’s stories.

USA TODAY High School Sports‘ Friday Night Notes is a weekly high school recruiting recap that looks at the latest news from around the country—from the Class of 2023 to ’24 and beyond.

This week, writer Tim Weaver takes a look at the six biggest spenders when it comes to luring recruits to their schools, headlined by the Georgia Bulldogs ($4.5 million) and followed by the Texas A&M Aggies ($2.98 million), Tennessee Volunteers ($2.92 million), Texas Longhorns (Texas: $2.44 million), Alabama Crimson Tide ($2.32 million) and Michigan Wolverines ($2.24 million), according to report by Marc Weiszer and Steve Berkowitz at USA TODAY.

After Michigan, there’s a large gap in the arms race. No other school reported having spent more than $1.85 million.
