Georgia used the 2023 national signing day to reel in a commitment from one of the top ranked prospects in next year’s recruiting class.
On Wednesday, five-star 2024 cornerback Ellis Robinson IV announced his commitment to UGA via a live-streaming announcement on ESPN2.
Robinson attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He originally hails from New York, where he built a relationship with then-Rutgers defensive backs coach Fran Brown, who is at Georgia.
Robinson chose Georgia over Alabama, Colorado, LSU and Miami.

At 6 feet, 175 pounds, Robinson is the nation’s eighth-ranked player in the class of 2024 and the No. 1 cornerback, per 247Sports.
Georgia has been considered the favorite for Robinson since he visited Athens in November for the Bulldogs’ win over the Tennessee Volunteers.
Georgia has the nation’s No. 1 class in the 2024 cycle. Robinson joins tight end Landen Thomas as the two five-star commitments.
