James Harden, NBA Twitter react to Sixers knocking off Nuggets at home

James Harden and the rest of NBA Twitter react to the Philadelphia 76ers knocking off the Denver Nuggets at home.

The Philadelphia 76ers looked to be in trouble on Saturday afternoon when they played host to the Denver Nuggets. The Sixers were off to a rough start on the defensive end; they allowed the Nuggets to shoot a scorching 65.9% from the floor and they trailed, 73-58, at halftime.

Instead, they dug deeply and rallied for a 126-119 win over the top team in the West. They held the Nuggets to 40.5% from the floor and 46 points after halftime thanks to big defensive performances from PJ Tucker and Tobias Harris and, of course, the heroics of Joel Embiid.

Embiid had 47 points on 18-for-31 shooting and 18 rebounds to win his duel with Nuggets star Nikola Jokic, who had 24 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.

James Harden had 17 points and 13 assists, while Harris had 14 and six rebounds. De’Anthony Melton and Tyrese Maxey had 13 points each, and Georges Niang had 14.
