The Badgers offered Ify Obidegwu, a four-star cornerback from the class of 2024 on Tuesday. The 6-foot-1 athlete has one more year of high school football at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland before he will likely join a collegiate program.
Wisconsin became the teenager’s 27th Division 1 offer, with a handful of those offers coming from within the Big Ten, including Michigan and Penn State. Tennessee, Oklahoma and USC are also in on the cornerback, proving that the Badgers have their work cut out for them in acquiring his talents.
If they’re able to bring in Obidegwu, he’d join fellow cornerback Austin Alexander (Chicago Heights, Illinois) as a member of Wisconsin’s class of 2024 defense.
