The 2023 Academy Award nominations are officially out, and Top Gun: Maverick earned six nominations, including Best Picture, Visual Effects, Original Song (“Hold My Hand”) and adapted screenplay.
In the Best Picture category, Top Gun: Maverick is one of 10 films nominated along with: Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Banshees of Inisherin, The Fabelmans, Tár, Avatar: The Way of Water, Elvis, All Quiet on the Western Front, Women Talking and Triangle of Sadness.
