Celtics at Raptors: Boston survives the Raptors 106-104 down three starters

Let’s take a look at some of the best plays captured in images from the Celtics’ 47th game of their 2022-23 campaign.

The Boston Celtics made the trip north to play the Toronto Raptors without their best player in Jayson Tatum. But before the first half was even over, they would find themselves down Marcus Smart and Robert Williams III as well due to in-game injuries to their ankle and knee, respectively.

It would end up being a close one, not decided for certain until Al Horford stole the ball with seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics managed to hold off the Raptors down three starters on Saturday evening to win 106-104 to improve to 35-12 on the season.

The win was made possible by huge games from star wing Jaylen Brown (27 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists), along with a career-high 25 points and 5 boards from reserve forward Grant Williams, and 23 points and 7 rebounds off of the bench for Malcolm Brogdon.
