Oklahoma continues to spread offers around the country for their 2024 and 2025 class. One of their most recent was extended by Coach Brandon Hall to 2024 defensive back prospect Courtney Crutchfield.
Flying under the radar at this point in the recruiting cycle. Crutchfield is currently unranked. However, the 6-foot-2 two-way player is an explosive athlete.
He is a certified scorer on the hardwood too. Considering that Hall extended the offer, it’s likely Crutchfield is being recruited to play safety or defensive back in some capacity.

Oklahoma is Crutchfield’s most notable offer. Other scholarship opportunities include Iowa State, Memphis, Arkansas, Missouri, and Vanderbilt.
Crutchfield is a dynamic athlete that wons with speed and length on offense while having the ability to play in the slot, single high, and outside as a boundary corner on defense. He’s a versatile player, which fits the makeup of previous defensive backs that Venables likes to stack his defense with.
While there’s no immediate time frame for any movement in this recruitment yet, this feels like the type of find that could end up being a great by the time he signs.
