The long-rumored Fortnite Family Guy crossover might still be happening, and it could show up soon. New datamined information from Twitter user GMatrixGames suggests Epic Games is still working on a project that it gave the codename “FrenchFry.” The cosmetic’s full name is “CID_TBD_Athena_Commando_M_FrenchFry.”
The ties between FrenchFry and Family Guy are slightly convoluted, but Twitter user FN_Assist provided some clarity. In 2021, a sheet leaked that listed multiple collaborations Epic had in store for the multiplayer game. These included DOOM, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones, all of which have shown up in Fortnite since, and the codename FrenchFry turned up in the list as well.
Leakers say FrenchFry usually correlates to projects with ties to animation or anime.
Family Guy was also on the list and in an Unreal Engine leak from 2022, and it remains the only franchise in both leaks that has yet to appear in Fortnite. That, combined with the speculation that a FrenchFry project is reportedly still in the works, has the Fortnite leaker community feeling confident we’ll see Peter Griffin in the battle royale soon – perhaps as soon as March.
Meanwhile, if you’re after a rather different look, you can finally purchase the Plague and Scourge skins in the Fortnite shop again, after three years.
