Jamaal Williams opened up Sunday night’s game in Green Bay with a legendary player intro. The Lions running back then backed it up with an outstanding performance in Detroit’s 20-16 win over the Packers.
Williams earned the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his impressive game in Week 18. Playing against his old team, Williams rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns in Detroit’s third straight win over the Packers. He was the only player in the NFC to score more than one touchdown in the final week of the regular season. Williams broke the Lions’ team record for rushing TDs in a season, passing Hall of Famer Barry Sanders with his 17th.
Former Lions safety Quandre Diggs captured the NFC’s defensive honor
