This was Week 18 of the National Football League season, which means the end of the NFL regular season. Before the focus switches to the playoffs, a relatively huge milestone was reached during the weekend.
Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson were the first rookie wide receiver duo from the same college to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards each in NFL history. It is crazy that these two are dominating so fast, but anyone paying close enough attention to their careers are not surprised.
Olave and Wilson went back to back in the 2022 NFL draft. Wilson was selected by the New York Jets with the 10th pick in the first round. Olave was chosen by the New Orleans Saints with the 11th pick. Most would agree Wilson was expected to make an immediate impact of this caliber, but Olave accomplishing what he has with the Saints is amazing.
Saints WR Chris Olave and Jets WR Garrett Wilson just became the first pair of receivers from the same school to top 1,000 yards as rookies in NFL history.
