Rob Gronkowski went into full-on “Gronk” mode when donating to Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin’s toy drive charity.
Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest and collapsed on the football field during the Bills’ Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was transferred to UC Medical Center and listed in critical condition, after having his heartbeat restored on the field.
Thankfully, the 24-year-old defensive back has made significant strides in his recovery since that tragic moment. He has opened his eyes and even spoken with teammates in what has been a remarkable turnaround.
When Hamlin starts reading the names of the donators to his charity, he’ll come across a “Robert Gronkowski,” who offered up a $6,900 contribution. That specific amount is obviously in true “Gronk” fashion.
The legendary former New England Patriots tight end joined the growing list of contributors to the drive fund, which has now exceeded $8 million.
Tom Brady and Patriots owner Robert Kraft have both made contributions, along with several Patriots players, including, Lawrence Guy, Brian Hoyer and Myles Bryant.
