Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin remains in critical condition but improves while recovering from his scary injury he sustained against the Cincinnati Bengals.
On Monday, the 24-year-old suffered cardiac arrest. He had been administered CPR and eventually made it to the hospital, where he remains.
Thankfully, Hamlin has begun taking positive steps, including movement of his hands and feet. The road to full recovery will still be a long one.
All throughout, the sportswear company Fanatics has made a thoughtful gesture. All proceeds from the purchasing of a Hamlin jersey will be donated to Hamlin’s toy drive.
In the days since the injury, his toy drive has raised millions, currently inching past $7.5M.
A huge portion of those have come from massive funds from around the NFL being sent. Teams and high-profile players such as Tom Brady have sent in thousands of dollars each and it’s added up.
Fanatics is part of that equation as well, likely in a big way.
That’s because Hamlin’s No. 3 jersey has also been their top-selling uniform in recent days and again, all that money is being donated:
