Julian Love named George Young-Ernie Accorsi Media Good Guy Award winner

New York Giants safety Julian Love has been named the George Young-Ernie Accorsi Media Good Guy Award winner.

New York Giants safety Julian Love has been named the winner of the 22nd annual George Young-Ernie Accorsi Media Good Guy Award.

The award, which is voted on by the Giants’ chapter of the Professional Football Writers of America and named after two of the team’s former general managers, recognizes a player “for his consistent and outstanding cooperation with the writers who cover the team on a daily basis.”

Love, a team captain, regularly makes himself available to the media and is both thoughtful and engaging. He also has a weekly spot on WFAN’s Tiki & Tierney show.

Of 18 possible first-place votes, Love received 11. Wide receiver Darius Slayton, who finished second, earned four first-place votes.

Offensive lineman Nick Gates and running back Saquon Barkley received three first-place votes each. 10 other players appeared on at least one writer’s ballot.
