Even though the Wisconsin Badgers missed their leading scorer, Tyler Wahl, for the majority of the game due to an ankle injury, they were able to win their sixth-straight game in a 63-60 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
The Badgers struggled to get rebounds throughout the game, which allowed Minnesota to come back late, but Wisconsin was able to force over 20 turnovers including a late Chucky Hepburn’ steal to seal the game. Hepburn finished with 16 points and five steals. He was the Badgers’ second-leading scorer behind forward Steven Crowl who scored 17 points.
The Badgers will move on to face the No. 24-ranked Illinois Fighting Illini on the road on Saturday.
