This is becoming routine.
For the third-straight week, Ohio State freshman Brice Sensabaugh has been named the Big Ten’s Freshman of the Week. The 6-foot, 6-inch, 235-pound forward out of Orlando led the Buckeyes in scoring over the last two games. Against Alabama A&M at home on December 29, Sensabaugh poured in 21 points and grabbed six rebounds. Then, on the road in Evanston, he scored 16 of his18 points in the second half to go with eight boards in a key conference road win against Northwestern.
Sensabaugh has really started to figure things out in his first year transitioning to the college game. He has a body that is ready for Big Ten play and can score from multiple spots on the floor. He is leading Ohio State in scoring so far this season with 15.9 per game, which is good for third-most among all freshmen in the country.

As impressive as it sounds to win the Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors, Sensabaugh joins two other Buckeyes that have done the same. Jared Sullinger had two different stretches during the 2010-2011 season, and D’Angelo Russell completed the same thing during the 2014-2015 season.
