Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has the first Pro Bowl nod of his career after being named one of the AFC’s three quarterbacks in the all-star game early next year.

Despite Miami’s Tua Tagovaiola pacing all players in fan voting, it’s Burrow joining Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen as Pro Bowlers.

Joining Burrow is Ja’Marr Chase, who is now the youngest Bengals player in franchise history with multiple Pro Bowl nods after his nomination last year as a rookie.

Defensive end Trey Hendrickson joins them on the all-star roster too, getting his second straight selection.

Other Bengals players were named alternates:

  • Jessie Bates — 2nd
  • Joe Mixon — 3rd
  • Tyler Boyd — 3rd
  • Evan McPherson — 4th
  • Ted Karras — 5th
  • DJ Reader — 5th
  • Vonn Bell — 5th

The big red flag there is Reader, as it’s laughable there are five tackles in football better than him, let alone in the AFC. But either way, all Bengals players hope they’ll be ineligible to play in the Pro Bowl Games anyway as they pursue another Super Bowl berth.
