The Eagles missed out by about five weeks, but former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles will make his 2022 debut as the Colts have named him the starting quarterback for the final three regular season games.
The move is being made after Indianapolis blew a 33-point lead to the Vikings with Matt Ryan under the center, the biggest comeback win in NFL history.
This will be the second time Ryan was benched in 2022, the first time coming in Week 8 when Sam Ehlinger got the start against the Commanders.

It will be the first meaningful games action for Foles since he signed a two-year, $6.2 million contract with the Colts during free agency.
Foles is most famous for replacing an injured Carson Wentz during the 2017 NFL season and leading Philadelphia to an upset victory over the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.
During the Eagles’ three-game playoff run, Foles completed 72.6% of his passes for 971 yards, six touchdowns, one interception, and a 115.7 rating.
In that epic win that cemented his status in the city, Foles passed for 373 yards and three touchdowns, added a 1-yard TD catch on the “Philly Special,’’ and was named the game’s MVP.
