Texas is getting two more state-champions on campus next season.
Johntay Cook and Tre Wisner combined for over 300 yards and three touchdowns in DeSoto’s dominant victory over Austin Vandergrift in the 6A-D2 state title game.
Do-it-all Trey Wisner was a force for the Eagles’ offense from the jump. He took his first carry for 49 yards inside the red zone. Wisner proved he is a dynamic threat as both a running back and wide receiver, finishing with 79 rushing and 135 receving yards.
Wisner took this pass 62 yards to the house to put the game out of reach in the fourth.
