If Suicide Squad seems too dark for the younger crowd, and Gotham Knights is too complicated, then Outright games hopes it has the answer with their new Justice League game, Justice League: Cosmic Chaos. Outright, makers of My Friend Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay, positions Cosmic Chaos as an entry point into the DC universe and open-world games in general.
“Working alongside DC and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to bring DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos to life has leveled up the Outright Games portfolio,” Outright CEO Beth Goss said in a statement. “We wanted to create an adventure that honed in on the character traits of our Super-Villains, allowed players to experience iconic superpowers while also creating a fun experience for younger audiences to be introduced to the Justice League universe.”
Cosmic Chaos’ action seems straightforward enough for players of any age and skill level to pick up, with a range of abilities such as Superman’s and Wonder Woman’s truth-infused lasso to help dispense justice and restore peace.
Other elements are designed to appeal to longtime DC fans, such as the inclusion of classic DC villain Starro the Conqueror, a baddy the Justice League first fought in 1960’s The Bold and the Brave No. 28, with cameos from other classic Justice League heroes throughout the campaign.
Justice League: Cosmic Chaos launches March 10, 2023, for PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
