The importance of having a good head coach to produce success in the NBA has never been an easy debate. But with the Boston Celtics looking every bit like world beaters under interim head coach Joe Mazzulla as they were at the end of the 2021-22 NBA season as under Ime Udoka, those who believe talent beats all have new ammunition.
This of course assumes that neither Udoka nor Mazzulla deserve credit for what has happened in Boston whether good or bad, which is conveniently as airtight an argument as the inverse, with counterfactuals being all but impossible to prove.
The hosts of the Fox Sports “Odd Couple” show did their best despite these hurdles.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what conclusions they came to with the information they have.
