When the New York Giants’ offense sputters, it’s always quarterback Daniel Jones’ fault. Never mind that he — once again — is plying behind a makeshift offensive line thanks to injuries and he has few weapons outside of running back Saquon Barkley.
The Giants have been relying on not just second and third stringers at wide receiver and tight end, they’ve actually resorted to playing some in-season free agents.
Jones has been the victim of just about everything from poor route running to dropped passes and his numbers are reflective of the latter. The Giants have dropped 20 passes this season, fourth-most in the NFL, but the stats cut deeper than that.
The New York Giants have 20 drops on 316 Pass Attempts
Daniel Jones 1 Drop every 15.8 PA
Cousins 1 Drop every 29.57 PA
Hurts 1 Drop every 28.9 PA
Burrow 1 Drop every 31.46 PA
Kyler 1 Drop every 32.4 PA
Mariota 1 Drop every 34.5 PA
Carr 1 Drop/42.6 PA
Geno 1 Drop/44.1 PA— The Entertainah (@TheEntertainah) December 2, 2022
The difference between those quarterbacks and Jones? They all have Pro Bowl weapons around them.
Shout-out to The Entertainah for doing the math on all those quarterbacks. Go follow him on Twitter.
