The load management gods giveth; the load management gods taketh away, it seems. One game after a single-contest absence due perhaps as much by a need for rest with Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum being the league leader in minutes played as it was for a sprained ankle, we are hearing from the Celtics that the St. Louis native will return to the court vs. the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night.
However, Boston may be without another of their heavy-minute star wings in one Jaylen Brown, who is listed as questionable for the Hornets’ tilt with the Celtics due to neck stiffness officially, and veteran big man Al Horford out with lower back stiffness.
It’s quite likely these are mere pretexts to rest the pair as it was probable in the case of Tatum, but with the NBA’s best record and little issue dispatching the Washington Wizards sans Tatum the night prior, we are not especially worried about this likely self-induced Hospital Celtics potential.
Tacko Fall: If fellow Celtics alum Jaylen Brown doesn’t make the 2023 All-Star team, ‘we riot’ https://t.co/z89hNE2UVl
