Well look at what rookie PFF has graded as NFL’s best safety

His NFL curve has took even quicker than expected

As the college football, regular season winds down the NFL still has over a full month of games to go.  We’ve checked in on some former Notre Dame stars when the time called for it this year and it’s certainly time to do that again.

I know that Notre Dame fans that watched him from 2019-2021 will be shocked to hear this, but [autotag]Kyle Hamilton[/autotag] is really good and his game has transitioned nicely to the NFL where he was a first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens this year.  Hamilton’s numbers don’t jump off the stat sheet: 29 tackles, 1 sack, 2 passes defended, and 1 forced fumble.

However, those in the know are incredibly impressed with his game.  Pro Football Focus graded Hamilton as the top safety in the NFL so far this season.  That isn’t just rookies, that’s all safeties in the NFL.

I think we all expected Hamilton to have success but how quickly he has had great success is beyond impressive.  It would certainly appear that the Ravens did what they seemingly do as well as anyone in the draft – not overthink things, select an extremely talented but perhaps overanalyzed player, and watch him blossom.

Take a look at some of the best photos from Hamilton’s rookie season below.
