Much to the delight of blue shell enthusiasts, Nintendo announced Monday that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe‘s Booster Course Pass Wave 3 DLC is releasing on Dec. 7, 2022, for Nintendo Switch.
Much like the Wave 2 DLC, two new cups are coming in this update. Both contain four tracks a piece, some of which are from previous series installments like Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7. We’ll list all eight courses below.
Rock Cup
- Wii Maple Treeway
- Tour London Loop
- GBA Boo Lake
- 3DS Rock Rock Mountain
Moon Cup
- 3DS Rainbow Road
- Tour Berlin Byways
- DS Peach Gardens
- Merry Mountain
Check out the latest trailer below to see these tracks in action.
Remember, there are two ways to access this DLC. Either through purchasing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe‘s Booster Course Pass, which costs $24.99 or by subscribing to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. The latter has two subscription options: $50 a year for an individual membership or $80 for a family plan.
Keep in mind that picking up the pass also gives you access to the first and second DLC wave tracks. There are also three more waves coming next year, so plenty more DLC is on the way.
Earlier this year, whispers of Mario Kart 9 were floating about the rumor mill, even if nothing has come of it. Probably because Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still sells like there’s no tomorrow.
