The 9-1 North Carolina Tar Heels are heavily favored today against 4-6 Georgia Tech.
Earlier this week, UNC was favored by 20.5- points. That line has moved just a .5 in North Carolina’s favor, with the Tar Heels now being favored to win by 21- points. The three-score spread is no surprise, with the Heels riding a six-game win streak and Georgia Tech being down their starting and backup quarterbacks.
The total game spread is also high, with odds expecting a high-scoring game. Yet again, to no surprise with North Carolina’s explosive offense on the season. UNC’s offense averages 40.1 points per game, the ninth-best in the nation. The other key contributor to the high-scoring odds is that both defenses have struggled to contain opponents’ offenses. North Carolina allows an average of 31.3 points per game, and the Yellow Jackets have allowed 28.7 points per game.
Regardless if UNC can cover that three-score spread or not, one thing for sure is that fans should expect a high-score outcome.
