Jayson Tatum is cementing his status as a top-five player with the Boston Celtics this season

The St. Louis native has added an increased ability to get to the rim, draw fouls, and on the other end of the court, defend as well as anyone on a squad with several perennial Defensive Players of the Year candidates.

Is it fair to say superstar Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has finally cracked the elite of the elite in the NBA to become a consensus top-five player in the league?

Having picked up right where he left off  in the 2021-22 season, the St. Louis native has added an increased ability to get to the rim and draw fouls and improved his defense.

Is all that enough to count him among the top 1% of the NBA’s talent structure?

The hosts of CLNS Media’s “Celtics Beat” podcast were recently joined by NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin to talk over where we ought to rank the former Duke standout in the league this season.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
