The Cavaliers also wanted to make a splash this season. They traded 3 first-round picks for G Donovan Mitchell. However, even with the extra firepower they are on a 3-game losing streak, most recently falling to the Golden State Warriors 106-101 Friday. Cleveland is 4-0 straight up at home, while Minnesota is 1-3 on the road.
Minnesota seems destined to lose again, but -210 is a bit too juicy for me. I will AVOID.
Against the spread
All signs are against Minnesota. The Timberwolves are 0-5 against the spread in their last 5 games when they play on a day of rest. They also have covered just once in their last 7 games.
Cleveland on the other hand are 6-0 against the spread in their last 6 home games.
Now that being said a lot of this hinges on Mitchell playing. You may want to wait until closer to game time, but assuming he plays, I like the Cavaliers.
