When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers spent a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft on a punter, you could hear the collective groan from Bucs fans miles away.
After Jake Camarda’s performance Sunday, those groans have turned to cheers.
The rookie from Georgia was an integral part of Tampa Bay’s 16-13 win over the Los Angeles Rams, consistently flipping the field with kick after massive kick to help the Bucs win the field position battle all game long.
Camarda finished the game averaging nearly 60 yards on each of his six punter, including a 74-yarder that tied the franchise record.
After the game, Camarda was rewarded with the game ball from Bucs head coach Todd Bowles:

This was a must-win in the worst way for the Bucs, and Camarda proved just how much of a weapon an elite punter can be.
